Scheduling Supervisor

Location: Wilmington, DE

Status: Full time

Schedule : Mon – Fri 8 to 430 no nights, weekends or on call

Position Purpose:

The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing scheduling and data collection for home care services as well as responding to inquiries, handling payroll functions, and supporting standardization of scheduling processes.

Position Details:

This position will occasionally require home visits to supervise home visit assignments.

What you will do:

  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing medical expertise and guidance.

  • Provide oversight to staff including, but not limited to, scheduling of home care staff, responding to staff and agency concerns, monitoring of timeliness, time sheet management.

  • Ensure standardization across sites ensuring efficiency and accurate data collection.

  • Complete the Home Care weekend/holiday nursing schedule. Notifies leaders of excessive scheduling and anticipated overtime.

  • Provide on call coverage after hours and on weekends for any major issue with home care.

  • Process aides time, handle payroll for weekend/on-call nurses.

  • Conduct site visits to provide support, assistance and evaluation of routine tasks, new processes, standardization and quality of work.

  • Prepare agenda/minutes for staff meetings.

  • Order and inventory Home Care supplies

  • Monitor home care hours per site, implement a plan of reduction.

  • Work to ensure all PCA vacancies are reduced and PCA staff meet competencies.

  • Implement measures to improve participant/staff satisfaction.

  • Complete 30 day follow up calls with new participants receiving home care.

  • Provide caregiver/staff orientation/training continued education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Active direct care, PCA, HHA or certified nurse assistant certification for Delaware.

  • Five (5) years of experience in community health or related field.

  • A combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

  • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, customer service and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to change and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Valid DL and use of personal vehicle.

  • Periodic travel within the Center's geographic region.
