Position Purpose
The Patient Access Representative is responsible for pre-registration, registration and admission functions in Central Registration for Saint Mary's Hospital.
What you will do
Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions
Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits.
Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate. Collects non-covered fees.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred
Medical terminology skills.
Relevant medical office, hospital / physicians billing or patient registration experience preferred
Excellent customer service, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
Position Highlights and Benefits
40 hours per week - Full-Time - Days
Must be available for shifts within 5am to 5pm and every other weekend from 7am to 11am. Must be available to cover different shifts for time off and call outs.
