Sr. Receiving Clerk - Samaritan Hospital - Full Time Days

To lead the daily operation and staff of the Receiving area. Responsible for the shipping, receipt and delivery of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital and off-site facilities. Responsible for Capital Tagging. Demonstrates the organizations commitment to sound ethical business practices as directed by the Corporate Compliance Office and approved by the Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities:

  • Directs the activities of personnel assigned to the Receiving Area ensuring the following:

  • Incoming stock and non-stock items are received correctly.

  • Delivery receipt is verified against P.O.

  • Discrepancies are noted and Discrepancy Report is filled out.

  • Receiving entered into Materials Management Computer System.

  • Delivery Ticket printed.

  • P.O. filled out.

  • Capital Tagging completed.

  • Ensures that all incoming merchandise is processed and delivered to requesting departments within 24 hours.

  • Ensures that employees are obtaining appropriate signatures.

  • Ensures that delivery slips or printed delivery ticket are returned and filed.

  • Ensures that returns/shipping are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Ensures that all files are maintained in an orderly fashion on a daily basis.

  • Assists in annual physical inventory.

  • Trains new employees assigned to Receiving Area.

  • Receiving – Stock

  • Safety Code

  • Capital Tagging

  • Is aware of all safety regulations and standards applicable to Receiving area and ensures that personnel comply.

  • Checks the routine handling of full and empty cylinder and all other hazardous materials to ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

  • Maintains receiving area in a clean and neat condition at all times.

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma

  • Three years working preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.

Pay Range: $17.25 - $22.54

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
