The Star Family Medicine Clinic is looking for a personable and experienced Medical Assistant for our providers located in the wonderful City of Star!

Position Summary & Highlights:

  • $1500 Sign On Bonus offered with this position to external candidates!

  • This MA position will support an established family medicine physician in a great workplace culture focused on teamwork, passion, and fun!

  • This clinic sees a wide variety of patients from infants to the elderly.

What You Will Do :

  • In addition to typical MA duties, you will also be administering immunizations, perform blood draws and assist with minor procedures.

  • You will also complete prior authorizations and tasks and orders in the task inbox and also have the opportunity to be crossed trained in Urgent Care to help cover or float to that clinic.

  • An ideal candidate will be proactive, personable and will have strong customer service skills.

  • You will also have solid multitasking skills and enjoy providing excellent patient care!

  • This is a smaller clinic so there would be opportunity to work independently at times.

Work Schedule :

4 - 10 hour days, Mondays - Thursdays, 6:45am - 5:30pm.

10717 W. State Street, Star, ID 83669. Located next to City Hall.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

  • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

  • American Medical Technologists (RMA)

  • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

  • For new MA graduates, minimum of 100 hour externship or MA work experience is required, even with certification.
