Job Title: Director of Perinatal Safety and Quality Improvement

Employment Type: Full time

Shift: Day, 40 hr

The Director, Perinatal Safety and Quality Improvement, is responsible and accountable for development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation of patient safety and quality initiatives, processes and programs for the Women's & Children's Services within Holy Cross and Holy Cross Germantown Hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and integration of risk management and quality of care initiatives and programs.

  • Works collaboratively with medical, hospital, and nursing leadership at the local, regional and system levels to improve patient outcomes.

  • Leverage patient safety and quality resources including but not limited to TEAMSTEPPS, SBAR, Simulation training, facilitating debriefs, briefs and family disclosures, and AIM bundles to improve patient outcomes.

  • Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of personnel, medical staff and community representatives.

  • Lead effective teams and apply change management principles.

  • Analyze and communicate relevant data, accurately evaluate complex problems, develop solutions, implement plans, and evaluate outcomes.

What you will need:

  • Master's degree in nursing, health related field, or business required.

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a Compact State

  • EFM certification

  • NRP certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, interpersonal communication, education, clinical experience and change management.

  • Strong knowledge base and clinical skills in electronic fetal monitoring, labor, birth, and high-risk obstetrics.
