ABOUT THE ROLE: We’re currently looking for a part time Direct Service Professional (FLOATER) to provide support and to the individuals with Serious Mental Illness and/or Substance Use Disorders living in our residential homes. The DSP (Part Time Floater) would work among the four programs in our pod. These programs are located in Carrick, Bethel Park, Carnegie and Baldwin. A nice benefit of this position is the ability to work with many different colleagues and to support individuals of varying abilities. While you will be scheduled among these programs according to need, you will always work the same days and the same shifts, giving you consistency that you can plan around.
You’ll work with all of the individuals living in our homes and be involved with the planning of services/activities for the daily success of those we serve. We believe in a strengths-based approach and use positive practices to help guide all of our activities. You might cook, clean, bathe, manage medications, take residents to appointments or on fun outings, interact with family members, and support residents with coping skills.
