Clinical Manager position summary

The Clinical Manager manages the clinical and operational elements of the homecare program, achieving identified targets, metrics of: clinical outcomes/ratings at target or better, productivity, visits/episode, overtime, employee engagement/retention, budget targets. Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p, weekend/holiday rotation as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or therapy field required, Master's degree encouraged, (or if therapy, degree required from discipline)

  • Minimum three years' experience in a skilled homecare agency.

  • Must possess progressive supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective interface with clients, professional clinical staff and all other related team members.

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Delaware

  • Knowledge of various state/federal regulations

Basic Job Function Summary

  • The Clinical Manager manages the clinical and operational elements of the homecare program, achieving identified targets, metrics of: clinical outcomes/ratings at target or better, productivity, visits/episode, overtime, employee engagement/retention , budget targets. Provides functional supervision of agency home care employees.

  • Oversees the delivery of quality client care through the application of health care knowledge in conjunction with physician orders and established policies, procedures and standards of practice.

  • Directs and supports orientation of managers, supervisors, and all direct client care staff, contract and contingent staff to the organization and to the delivery of clinical services.

  • Must be able to read write, converse in English.

  • Able to use computer programs and telephone.

  • Sets goals and priorities consistent with organizational mission and strategic plan.

  • Planning reflects appropriate input and interdepartmental or interdisciplinary consultation.

  • Mentors staff and managers to achieve expected professional and clinical standards by clarifying expectations, giving objective feedback, coaching, and appropriate reinforcement.
