The Patient Care Tech/Service Coordinator assists the unit manager, professional staff and physicians with a variety of patient care procedures. Provides clerical support for the service area to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded. Promotes increased utilization of Loyola services by maintaining a customer service attitude that reflects the mission, vision and values of Loyola Medicine.

GENERAL PATIENT CARE - Meets the comfort and hygiene needs of the

patient by providing care services such as bathing, oral hygiene,

accuchecks as ordered, hair care, tolieting, skin care, linen changes.

Distributes meals and beverages under supervision of RN, takes vital

signs, documents vital signs and collects lab specimens as delegated.

Assists with patient testing and procedures as directed by RN.

Shift : 700-3:30pm and every other weekend

Position Requirements :

Minimum Education:

Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

Specify Degree(s): CNA

Minimum Experience:

Required: None

Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Details: Will consider new CNA with good communication skills as well as previous customer service experience.

Licensure/Certifications:

Required: Certified Nurse Assistant

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
