Environmental Service Unit

Service Associate Position Summary :

Cleans patient rooms and restocks equipment and supplies. Supports quality patient care services by maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe and orderly environment for health care providers as well as patients and visitors of all ages and developmental levels. The service associate demonstrates behavior consistent with the operating principles of Loyola University Health System and functions as a contributing member of a health care team which meets patient needs through effective communication and commitment to quality outcomes.

Food and Nutrition Unit

Dietary Aide/Assistant Position Summary : Performs variety of tasks related to food service. Provides customer service to visitors, patients, and staff by serving consistent food products. Processes diet orders, nourishment, supplements, tube feedings and requests for additional menu items. Communicates with patients, nurses, dietitians and co-workers regarding dietary needs of patients. Edits menu for compliance with diet orders and assists with tray line activities when needed.

Cook Position Summary: Prepares, seasons and cooks various foods for consumption in cafeteria or patient rooms. Reviews menus and production schedules to determine quantities needed, plans cooking schedule in conjunction with supervisor and assists with stocking/ordering.

Transportation Unit

Transport Technician Position Summary : The Transport Technician will assist in the transporting patients to and from the various testing areas and nursing units within the medical center, by operating designated elevators to ensure patients are transported in a courteous, safe and timely manner
