Trinity Health Customer Service Technician - DME - Full Time Days in Mason City, Iowa

Description:

Position Purpose:

The customer Service Technician delivers and maintains home medical equipment.

What you will Do:

  • Schedules deliveries with customers and makes phone calls prior to delivery.

  • Prepares equipment/supplies for delivery to client by making sure it is complete and in safe and proper working order prior to leaving warehouse and home.

  • Delivers equipment/supplies to client's place of residence and in-house, sets up equipment according to Mercy Home Care's policy, manufacturer's instructions, and provides exceptional service.

  • Communicates to client pertinent Mercy Home Care services and billing information.

Hours/Schedule:

(Full time; Days; Weekend/Holiday Rotation; Etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

A. Education [formal]:

  • High School diploma or GED required

B. Experience:

  • Previous home care and/or delivery experience preferred with demonstrated competency.

  • One to two years recent general work experience required.

C. Special Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work with patients and families with diverse opinions, diverse religious and cultural ideals and values.

  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and be accountable for practice.

  • Must be able to function professionally in a client's home where conditions may be less than desirable

  • Current motor vehicle driving license, and ability to travel to client's residences required.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and take call.

  • Requires the willingness to work any assigned eight-hour schedule, overtime, and rotating on-call duty as scheduled.
