POSITION PURPOSE

Under the direction of Regional Manager, Provider Recruitment, and as a key member of the Trinity Health System Office provider recruitment team, supports and fulfills creative recruitment and sourcing strategies surrounding physician and mid-level provider recruitment. Supports the partnership with physician and provider recruitment teams across the Trinity Health system to create and maintain a strong and continuous diverse candidate pipeline using innovative and creative, strategies that will fulfill the provider recruitment growth and development plans, both current and future, for the Trinity Health system in accordance with the System needs and goals. Utilizes multiple recruitment strategies and resources to attract, source, screen, select, and effectively deliver highly qualified, diverse physician and mid-level provider candidates to Trinity Health Ministries impacting candidate placement and ensuring timely filling of provider opportunities across Trinity Health. Represents Trinity Health and its ministries with knowledge of the strategic planning, culture and colleague value proposition. The delivery of effective and efficient services in support of strategic and business needs is accomplished in collaboration and partnership with Provider Recruitment leadership, Graduate Medical Education (GME), and the Regional Health Ministries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Applies knowledge of provider sourcing strategies to identify, develop, and foster relationships with prospective Physician and Advanced Practice Provider candidates, building and enhancing candidate pipelines.

Generates and supports physician and provider sourcing and acquisition strategies by utilizing in-house resources as well as innovative sourcing techniques and provider recruitment attainment methods to attract and generate highly qualified physician and mid-level provider candidates for current and future clinical opportunities throughout the Trinity Health system.

Applies knowledge in the field of provider recruitment and utilizes multiple direct and indirect proactive sourcing methods and activities, including but not limited to, job boards, social media networking, career web sites, marketing and advertising, cold calling and passive outreach, national residency and fellowship outreach, professional medical association networking, telemarketing, physician databases, attending professional recruitment events both virtual and in-person, and other possible channels, to target, identify and successfully deliver highly qualified provider candidates to Trinity Health Ministry recruitment teams. Executes individual search strategies resulting from consultation with System Office and Ministry recruitment teams in accordance with system wide provider needs analysis.

Strategically and proactively initiates and performs proactive provider recruitment searches utilizing broadcast and individualized email blasts targeting potential provider candidates and creating maximum exposure to recruit qualified top-notch physicians and mid-level providers for presentation to Trinity Health Ministries for consideration and placement. Accountable for reporting of search efforts to partners, recruitment teams and leadership.

Accountable for sourcing passive candidates by initiating searches and reviews of online candidate profiles through various databases, job boards, and recruitment tools to identify and target provider leads and develop a network of prospective candidates for the System’s most difficult to fill opportunities.

Proactively focuses on candidate lead generation and engages passive provider candidates for the development of candidate pipelines. Utilizes timely follow up calls and outreach to source candidates.

Handles incoming provider inquiries, including but not limited to, phone calls, email responses, and initial candidate outreach, as well as miscellaneous departmental inquiries, both inside and outside of the organization.

Maintains critical and confidential provider communication with viable physician and mid-level candidates under consideration.

Reviews and evaluates provider CVs/applications and conducts phone screening interviews and assessments with potential candidates as required to determine candidate quality, suitability, and fit for Trinity Health provider opportunities. Participates and coordinates with System Office recruitment and Ministry recruitment teams and leadership to ensure candidates are provided with appropriate information related to opportunities.

Prepares detailed written summaries and presentation of physician and mid-level provider candidates to Trinity Health Ministry recruitment teams and local leadership for review and considerations.

Documents detailed sourcing and candidate lead generation activity utilizing inhouse applicant tracking system (ATS). Maintains detailed candidate tracking reports reflecting all sourcing activities, recruitment efforts, and outcomes. Monitors and tracks individual key performance indicators and all metrics related to candidate pipelines and sourcing. Supports the preparation of reports related to efforts.

Maintains working knowledge of Trinity Health as a system and Trinity Health Ministries, along with local communities, to convey details to provider candidates and assist with candidate inquiries. Presents detailed information regarding opportunities to provider candidates with clarity and specificities of individual opportunities available system wide.

Utilizes strong organizational acumen while keeping abreast of industry trends and apply such to enhanced provider sourcing practices and services. Provides knowledge in sourcing and supports innovative solutions and problem resolution with difficult searches, while ensuring and maintaining cost-effective methodology, tools and techniques are utilized.

Participates and coordinates in activities for various physician recruitment projects.

Works with Regional Manager, Provider Recruitment to continually improve the sourcing, recruiting, and placement of physicians and mid-level providers. Participates in consultation and problem resolution addressing provider recruitment needs and seeks out additional opportunities to impact the successful sourcing and placement of provider candidates throughout the Trinity Health system and proposes solutions for recruiting barriers

Handles sensitive and confidential information.

Performs other duties as needed and assigned by Manager.

Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of business or healthcare administration as normally obtained through a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Advanced Degree in Healthcare Administration or Management is preferred.

Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of progressively more responsible health care recruiting experience, preferably in physician and provider recruitment. Experience with full life-cycle provider recruitment is highly preferred. May also consider experience in medical staffing/credentialing, Graduate Medical Education, or Advanced Practice Provider recruitment where providers are the primary focus. Health care industry experience is required.

Must possess working knowledge of legal issues surrounding immigration, Visa, and contract negotiations.

Must possess a knowledge of provider recruitment strategies, practices, and procedures. Must have knowledge of and be familiar with all various medical and surgical clinical specialty areas.

Experience using online provider recruiting tools and sourcing methods with a demonstrated track record of high-volume sourcing of physician and provider talent.

Demonstrated experience sourcing passive physician and provider candidates using innovative best practices. Experience with high-volume sourcing and recruiting using various job boards and social media.

Experience utilizing a robust applicant tracking system or CRM to manage and track candidates and sourcing efforts is required. Experience using Practice Match is highly preferred. Must be able to expertly navigate between multiple systems.

Must possess highly effective interpersonal and excellent phone, verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable communicating with all levels of provider candidates and organizational leaders. Must have a strong customer service focus with excellent networking skills, especially with physicians and providers.

Ability to work effectively and independently and function in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment while meeting high demand and changing deadlines.

Ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated with relentless attention to detail and accuracy and will possess strong organization, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Must be able to independently plan, organize, and prioritize workload and assignments and have excellent time management skills for the execution of multiple and high-volume work assignments. Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of provider searches.

Must be a demonstrated team player with a history of achieving results and be performance driven.

Must be willing to work some non-traditional hours to accommodate physician and provider schedules and recruiting events.

High level of skills with computers and software. Demonstrated computer competency including use of windows-based computer system with advanced proficiency of a variety of tools including email, internet, and software applications such as word processing and database applications. Must have expert knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets, data tracking and presentation software.

Experience with social media platforms used specifically for recruitment purposes is required.

Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
