Description:

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team at St Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.

This position is 100% on site and requires the incumbent to be licensed to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Required: BSN RN

Performs data abstraction/collection with at least 95% accuracy:

  • Monitors data to ensure completion, i.e., no data integrity/quality issues prior to timely data submission.

  • Participates in inter-rater reliability activities and audit activities to ensure data validity.

  • Manages workload appropriately to ensure timely data submission

Keeps current with administrative guidelines, policies and procedures, forms, and regulations via attending educational programs and in-services, participating in Listservs, and reading release notes to maintain abstracting and/or vendor application knowledge.

Is on-site at least 4 days/week working collaboratively with clinicians and service lines:

  • Provides education related to data definitions/constructs and documentation requirements to ensure integrity of data collected.

  • Seeks appropriate documentation clarification from physician/clinician to improve the overall quality and compliance with evidenced-based documentation guidelines and optimal workflow.

  • Provides support to service lines including: assistance with dashboard development and reports for Quality Council/Quality and Safety Committee of the Board, data mining of various vendor databases for ad hoc requests, and monitoring/analyzing publicly reported data comparing St. Mary to competition and national benchmarks.

  • Engages with clinicians for performance improvement initiatives and improving data.

Refers patient care or documentation/quality issues to Quality Leadership; Service Line Administrator; CDI Team Lead and/or the appropriate resource or designated colleague.

Actively attends and participates in assigned committees.

Other responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to participating on special projects.
