Description:

Directs day to day operations and strategic planning of the Emergency Department and services. Provides consultation and assistance for entire range of the population served. The primary objective of this position is to improve overall quality and promote zero-harm environment/outcomes. Effective leadership skills with detailed knowledge of management and supervisory practices and the ability to motivate, coach technical, administrative, management and clinical colleagues. Thorough knowledge of Emergency Management, Emergency Communications, Risk Management, and Emergency Medical Services principles, practices, methods and techniques. Promotes a fair, just and diverse environment. In addition, Director of Patient Flow plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement of patients through all stages of care within the healthcare facility. Key Responsibilities in this role requires ongoing support and collaboration with various departments to optimize processes to enhance patient experience and maximize operational efficiency. Key responsibilities of this role include development and implementation of strategies to optimize patient flow and analyze data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
