Description:
POSITION PORPOSE
The RN Special Procedures Nurses supports Interventional Radiology – Angiography, assisting a Physician or Physician Assistant, in over 60 different procedures.
Part-Time NON-benefited position. Scheduled 18 hours per week (.45 FTE). Day shift, No Weekends, No Holidays.
This position will be located at Trinity Health Howell.
Scheduled in Interventional Radiology Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assisting in procedures that involve charting, monitoring the patient, giving moderate sedation, doing the prep and recovery for procedures included, but not limited to paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fine needle aspirations.
Working in the MRI department monitoring patients with pacemakers during their scans.
The role would also entail working in the nuclear stress department performing stress tests with the team.
Assist with Dobutamine Stress Echo's.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Current Michigan Nursing License
Graduation from accredited nursing program (Effective January 1, 2013, all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire.)
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required.
Those with ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or ER (Emergency Room) are encouraged to apply.
Ability and experience reading ECG's for stress testing.
