Description:

POSITION PORPOSE

  • The RN Special Procedures Nurses supports Interventional Radiology – Angiography, assisting a Physician or Physician Assistant, in over 60 different procedures.

  • Part-Time NON-benefited position. Scheduled 18 hours per week (.45 FTE). Day shift, No Weekends, No Holidays.

  • This position will be located at Trinity Health Howell.

  • Scheduled in Interventional Radiology Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assisting in procedures that involve charting, monitoring the patient, giving moderate sedation, doing the prep and recovery for procedures included, but not limited to paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fine needle aspirations.

  • Working in the MRI department monitoring patients with pacemakers during their scans.

  • The role would also entail working in the nuclear stress department performing stress tests with the team.

  • Assist with Dobutamine Stress Echo's.

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Michigan Nursing License

  • Graduation from accredited nursing program (Effective January 1, 2013, all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire.)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required.

  • Those with ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or ER (Emergency Room) are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability and experience reading ECG's for stress testing.
