Description:

Position Purpose:

Under direct supervision of the Site Manager, directs and supervises the activities of the Security Officers during an assigned tour of duty. Assumes complete supervisory and operational control of the Security force in the Site Manager's absence. Periodically, inspects his/her facility to ensure against pilferage and safeguard of Saint Francis property; aids in or conducts various training programs; responsible for maintenance of necessary records, reports and duty logs. Assures maintenance of all security equipment assigned to his/her tour of duty.

What you will do:

  • Inspects uniforms and personal appearance of Security Officers and equipment used by Security Officer.

  • Maintains and keeps up to date the supervisor's checklist, duty log, incident reports, inspection reports, radio logs, vehicle reports and daily time reports.

  • Reviews reports and records received daily from security officers and takes appropriate. action; affords necessary follow-up and records disposition.

  • Aids in or conducts various training programs.

  • Informs Security Officers of changes in and additions to Saint Francis Care policies and regulations.

  • Upon request, or in emergencies, replaces the Security Officer

  • Keeps Site Manager informed regarding security and safety developments on his shift.

  • Investigates suspicious activities and abnormal incidents within his jurisdiction during an assigned tour of duty.

  • Confers with and maintains communication with incoming and outgoing Shift Supervisors to make sure that the shift coming on duty is familiar with problems encountered by the shift going off duty.

  • Conducts nametag inspections on a regular basis.

  • Assumes the duties and responsibilities of the Site Manager in his absence or in time of emergency.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • One (1) to three (3) years of previous healthcare security experience in a related setting.

  • Knowledge of PC based applications in a Windows environment.

  • Excellent customer services skills.

  • Ability to think and act quickly to de-escalate hostile situations.

  • Must obtain certification of Crisis Prevention Institute within one (1) year of employment.
