Registered Nurse RN required

Position Purpose

Implements and maintains a compliant and comprehensive, organization-wide, Complaint and Grievance process to address patient and family concerns, and other authorized parties, (such as insurers and the QIO) , to meet regulatory requirements for Saint Francis Hospital ( SFH) and Mt. Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital

What you will do

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for safety events utilizing the High Reliability Organization (HRO), Healthcare Performance Improvement (HPI) process and procedure

  • Submit Adverse Events to the CT Department of Public Health, after investigation of incident, and monitor for 30 day action plan follow-up as required by regulation

  • Act as a resource for staff by providing education and assistance regarding quality of care, regulatory requirements, patient safety and associated activities

  • Coordinate or participate in all Quality related meetings, and participate in quality of care and safety committees, and quality and outcome groups

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related field required.

  • Connecticut RN license required

  • At least 5 years current experience in a quality/regulatory and/or patient safety related role preferred

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding patient complaints and grievances, patient quality of care and safety initiatives, and quality indicators as related to the hospital setting
