Essential Job Functions :

  • Data is collected through chart abstractions per each assigned indicator or registry.

  • Enters data accurately and on time to external databases, including but not limited to, ACC, STS, and ICD National Registries.

  • Is pro-active in retrieving data to insure completeness of data collection tool.

  • Initiates appropriate data collection and develops effective tracking and trending to induce efficient and compliant utilization of services as well as educational tools to initiate change.

  • Analyses reports and recommends initiatives for improving outcomes or patient care.

  • Implements Medical or Nursing staff education related to quality outcomes.

  • Reports statistics and outcomes to Nurse and Physician committees as requested

  • Provides timely communication of changes in regulatory requirements.

  • Develops good rapport with Associates and physicians to facilitate retrieval of data retrieval from patient medical record.

Minimum Qualifications:

Exhibits a broad range of knowledge in Clinical Quality Management, as well as Key Performance Indicators associated with Hospital Clinical Quality Initiatives, state and federal regulations, and health information fundamentals.

Possesses good written and verbal communication skills Licensure:

Bachelors degree preferred

Current RN licensure in the State of Florida

BLS Required

ACLS Required within 6 months of hire
