Trinity Health RN - Interventional Spine & Pain Management in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Description:

Full Time: Monday -Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

  • Takes accurate patient medical history and vitals as requested.

  • Arranges operative schedule, surgical assistants and special anesthesia needs as per physicians orders.

  • Provides preoperative teaching to patients.

  • Assists physician with procedures and treatments (aspirations, injections, wound treatments, dressing changes, etc.) reassuring patient during procedure.

  • Evaluates traction or brace containment devices as necessary. Removes staples and sutures on all postoperative patients.

  • Obtains required consents from patient.

  • Documents accurately and timely in patients record, all treatment/procedures done and initials documentation.

  • Prepares preoperative charts and obtains specific medical orders from internist when necessary.

  • Checks for completion of preoperative orders, labs and medical evaluations. Informs physician of any patient problem/contradictions using appropriate judgment as to the urgency of the situation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Licensure :

  • Registered nurse in the State of Florida.

  • Current BLS Required
