Trinity Health OR Clinical Assistant in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Description:

This is a full-time position. Hours are 11am - 7 pm.

What You Will Do:

  • Demonstrate efficiency in the safe transportation of patients to and from the operating room.

  • Assist circulating nurse in moving and positioning patients on the OR table.

  • Assist with prepping patients and many times deals with blood/feces/urine/body parts.

  • Deliver surgical and laboratory specimens to appropriate areas and transports blood products as required to and from blood bank.

  • Maintain the supply areas so that all products are available to OR personnel.

  • Demonstrate proper technique when cleaning operating rooms between each case.

  • Demonstrate proper handling, cleaning, and storage of equipment and supplies. Maintains a neat and orderly environment in the main OR, supply rooms, utilities room and pre and post-operative areas.

  • Assist OR staff with cleaning of instruments and equipment between surgical procedures.

  • Help with prepping patients and many times deal with blood/feces/urine/body parts.

What You Will Need:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

BLS through American Heart Association required (prior to hire).

Previous Operating Room, Endoscopy, Environmental or Transportation experience preferred.
