Description:

  • Functions as a leadership role model to the Orthopedic practice office manager and department directors and encourages the achievement of personal goals of subordinates.

  • Makes regular departmental/practice rounds to assure compliance with established standards and procedures. Effects change as needed to improve services or takes corrective action when necessary.

  • Is knowledgeable of and ensures that supervised Associates are knowledgeable of applicable current compliance policies and procedures, laws and regulatory developments including their responsibility to comply with applicable laws, regulations and Holy Cross Hospital policies as a condition of employment, as well as reporting mechanisms such as the corporate compliance hotline.

  • Establishes standards of performance related to the delivery of quality services and in keeping with the established Performance Quality Improvement goals.

*Works closely with the medical staff to implement new programs/practices, ensure quality initiatives, and resolve conflicts.

*Coordinates and/or participates in activities scheduled/sponsored by Holy Cross Hospital, representing the Orthopedic Services.

Minimum Qualifications:

*Masters of Hospital Administration or related field preferred, with strong experience required in the management and direction of personnel, development and formulation of departments, goals and objectives.

*Budgetary knowledge necessary.

*Computer skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of hospital departmental operations, physicians practice management and techniques as well as demonstrated proficiency in communication skills.
