Description:
Position Purpose:
Join Mercy Care Atlanta as the Director of Facilities, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the buildings and grounds of our administrative headquarters and offsite clinic locations. Your efforts will ensure the delivery of high-quality care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective environment.
What You Will Do:
Oversee maintenance of facilities, including utilities, cleaning, equipment, storage, and repairs.
Manage landscape, emergency preparedness, biohazard waste, and security.
Support departments with fleet management and logistical services.
Coordinate building and medical equipment maintenance and inspections.
Serve as the Safety Officer, maintaining safety systems and equipment.
Lead state emergency preparedness programs and provide on-call support for emergencies.
Participate in capital planning, budgeting, and quality control initiatives.
Negotiate vendor contracts and manage vendor relationships.
Provide strategic direction for the Supply Chain department, optimizing inventory accuracy and vendor performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Four years of relevant experience, including three years in management.
Familiarity with cleaning, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.
Organizational skills for maintaining supply and service records.
Experience in vendor contract negotiations, fiscal responsibility, retail Pharmacy practice and Supply Chain Management.
Knowledge of federal, state, and JCAHO healthcare management requirements is preferred.
