Trinity Health Director of Facilities (Maintenance) in Atlanta, Georgia

Description:

Position Purpose:

Join Mercy Care Atlanta as the Director of Facilities, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the buildings and grounds of our administrative headquarters and offsite clinic locations. Your efforts will ensure the delivery of high-quality care in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee maintenance of facilities, including utilities, cleaning, equipment, storage, and repairs.

  • Manage landscape, emergency preparedness, biohazard waste, and security.

  • Support departments with fleet management and logistical services.

  • Coordinate building and medical equipment maintenance and inspections.

  • Serve as the Safety Officer, maintaining safety systems and equipment.

  • Lead state emergency preparedness programs and provide on-call support for emergencies.

  • Participate in capital planning, budgeting, and quality control initiatives.

  • Negotiate vendor contracts and manage vendor relationships.

  • Provide strategic direction for the Supply Chain department, optimizing inventory accuracy and vendor performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Four years of relevant experience, including three years in management.

  • Familiarity with cleaning, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services.

  • Organizational skills for maintaining supply and service records.

  • Experience in vendor contract negotiations, fiscal responsibility, retail Pharmacy practice and Supply Chain Management.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and JCAHO healthcare management requirements is preferred.
