Position Summary: Oversee operations of an ambulatory care department; supervises employees directly and is responsible for solving most of the problems arising for assigned clinical team. Follows and supports Trinity Health’s professional nursing standards of care and Professional Practice Model and Shared Governance Structure and Processes. Direct reports include Registered Nurses and clinical support staff in assigned practice.

What the RN Supervisor will do:

  • Supervises and evaluates clinical care team in collaboration with Practice Leader, including but not limited to:

  • staff development

  • daily staff assignment of patient care

  • ensuring adequate equipment and supplies inventory control

  • quality assessment and improvement

  • customer service strategies

  • assistance with performance evaluations

What the RN Supervisor will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in state of Michigan

  • Three years nursing experience for similar patient populations.

  • Progressive experience in health care including involvement in direct patient care, educating staff, supervising personnel and problem solving of unit or organizational issues.
